In the Spotlight! Dover Shores

Check out the short Lighting Gallery bio on Ernie & Dana, if you haven’t already seen it in the recent business spotlight of The Shores Living (a Dover Shores community magazine).

Business Spotlight:The Lighting Gallery & Coastalmoods Electrical Contractors is a family owned and operated lighting gallery and electrical contractors located in Laguna Hills with over 32 years in the industry. The Lighting Gallery is a full service lighting showroom that has been serving the greater Orange County area with our creative and unique lighting designs since 1984. We have been involved with lighting many custom Home Projects, Commercial Sites such as Restaurants, Medical Facilities, Salons, Multi Family projects and many Corporate Offices. Coastalmoods Electrical Contractors worked on such projects as the Newport Beach Lifeguard Station, Ruby’s on the Pier, The White House in Laguna Beach, El Toro Library, and the San Juan Capistrano Boys and Girls Club and Gymnasium.

Ernie is an Electrical Contractor (with his C-10 license) & Lighting Designer who comes from a family with six generations in construction. He began his lifelong passion for lighting in 1977 when he started working at his uncle’s shop in High School by doing lamp repairs and light fixture installations. Soon after he opened his own electrical and construction company, Coastal Moods, in Dana Point, California which provided the community with a place to find rare and hard to find light bulbs, landscape lighting, and fans. In 2007 they expanded their lighting business to include decorative lighting and the full service shop that they now provide.
Dana is the backbone of the operation who learned the business ever since joining in 2005. She wears many hats in the day to day operations with her business and marketing background. She is an alumnus of California State University Fullerton graduating in Business and Marketing. Dana also holds a California Real Estate License.
For your next lighting job, come in and Ernie & Dana will provide consultation from conception all the way through the final installation, all while working closely with the interior designers. In many ways they are an encyclopedia of decorative lighting and will guide you on how to light your project with an awe-inspiring result.
Each year Ernie & Dana take part in a nonprofit cause, such as the Philharmonics Society House of Design, where they join with one of Orange County’s top designers in helping to create a collaborative masterpiece. They also donate fixtures to Goodwill and Habitat for Humanity which goes hand in hand with their motto, ‘We light your world’.
